Why not? It's already been written, after all. The more TBC plot holes they can fill... the better.

It was an already-written story by Micky Neilson several years ago. It's said to be 80 pages. But too bad that Blizzard never release it. And people have been demanding Blizzard should release it in either e-book form or published novella.

Oh I see. I'm guessing it's not actually available anywhere on the internet?

Oh a kael'thas story? Oh great, lets have a book about a lore character who died years before. And for those who want to assume him making a comeback..

It has already been written and it explains why he did what he did in TBC.. It is something people have wanted for ages honestly.

Just seems strange having a novel for a character who can't even have anymore extended story, it'll be in hindsight.

Yep.

And get him to write "To my man Exxile87. I've always wanted to be like you. Stay cool."

Or something.

I guess i would understand if they were writing the story now but it has already been written from what we have been told. Not to mention one of the things people hated about TBC's story was how Kael was treated as we never actually got a reason for his extreme changes.

When questioned about it last year they mentioned they would try and get it out to the public so i am just happy it has progressed .

I do wonder what the next major Warcraft novel will be though.. I expected we would have been told by now considering the early info they gave on Jaina's book last year.

Well it'll probably be something related to the pandaren, maybe Chen.

I can't believe how many of you wouldn't care about a novel if the main character was dead already. The '90s games got their novels in 2007-2008. So what if Kael is part of the past now? He's forever a part of lore.

Kael'thas Novella finally coming out would seriously make me take back anything bad I ever said about Blizzard and never doubt them again.

As for whose bitching about a Novella about a dead character from 2/3 expansions ago, like people have said, a. its already written, and b. I would dare to say Kael'thas is still a pretty popular Warcraft character, whether its positive or negative opinions, and finally knowing his motives would be awesome. Some of my favorite parts about Christie's Arthas were the insights we got of Kael'Thas as a character.

Releasing it finally would also finally let old wounds heal for those who feel like his actions were extremely out of character back in TBC.

I wonder if Oma had access to read it during his intership. Would have been a pretty cool touch to read into that and other unreleased books/comics.

Now we just need news on that Alliance comic about the Dark Riders!

The one with the recently announced release date?

I could probably request them but I've been busy. I just worked up the chutzpah to ask for a pre-release copy of Tides of War to read on the plane ride back. Plus I'd rather not sit on lore for years that I couldn't tell you about, I'd like to find out about it at the same time as you.

See the Tides of Darkness, Beyond the Dark Portal, and Rise of the Horde novels. In short, get the fuck over it.

Are you saying we will wait years to see a story that is already written, just needs to be published somewhere (They have a short story section ffs) that is already years behind? Classic Blizzard...

Genesis mad, Genesis SMASH.

On a serious note, anything that can give us a more in-depth analysis of Kael'thas during the story clusterfuck known as TBC is a positive thing.

At the Peak of Serenity, there are profession trainers and a vendor that sells transmoggable fist weapons with no model. Those who want to fight bare-handed now can!

Well maybe not "years" but just look at Dark Riders. It comes out in like 9 months.

But that was because of problems with wildstorm I thought. This is something they could spend less then a day publishing on their own website, unless they want some fancy screenshots to go with it like Charge of the aspects, which may take an extra hour to make and upload.
