Default The Klaxxi

Hated this faction at first... now I kind of love it.

Anyone else?

The storyline is pretty fantastic. And I encourage anyone with a passing interest to read "Death From Above."

I guess you finished the rep grind instead of passing over it?

Yeah, I was compelled to do most of it anyway to unlock the blacksmithing patterns, and once I'd gone that far, I figured I might as well finish it out and see the conclusion.

It's worth it. My only complaint with regards to these rep grinds really is being forced to do them more than once. As much as it might be enjoyable one time through, it would be nice to not have to repeat it on multiple characters.

Anyhow, the Mantid lore is pretty decent. They do a good job tying it in to the other insect races on Azeroth and, to be honest, the final quest is kind of pivotal in understanding how the Old Gods and Sha are intertwined. If you want to know the real root of the conflict in Pandaria, it's almost essential to do all the quests in Dread Wastes.

Either that, or just read up on WowPedia.

I've been a fan of that storyline since I completed it. The Paragons all have great personalities, the Exalted quest is a nice bit of lore, and them showing up as the penultimate boss(es) in the Siege of Orgrimmar is a great way to wrap up their involvement in this expansion.

The only thing I didn't like was the daily grind itself. The only rep that was just as painful to grind was the Golden Lotus. The Dread Wastes was probably the most challenging zone in Pandaria, and it made that daily grind that much worse.

Agreed - although now I'm kind of sad I need to kill the Paragons. For a group that is so good at thinking independently of the Empress, I really wish they'd think independently of some stupid old god.

And the grind was kind of awful - Dread Wastes is a tough place to quest. At least the zone-wide buffs you can get are nice.

Klaxxi are awesome. Thus, they had to die. Otherwise, the chance of Blizzard completely and irrevocably ruining them would have been certain.

Anyways, since a certain sarcastic bastard wanted constructiveness of a vaguely relevant nature, let's combine our Red Shirt powers to figure out the order in which the Klaxxi came.

The Alliance's three rules on faction conflict:
1) You can't win.
2) You can't break even.
3) You can't leave the game.

I actually enjoyed the Klaxxi rep grind more than I'm enjoying the Shado-Pan grind.

Which kind of surprises me.

No, I just expected the most visible Panda faction in the Panda expansion in Pandaria to be more interesting than the antagonistic bug faction.
