Feltotem and Felskorn?

There were cults in some class campaigns, I think. Warlock, at least, that I have heard about. Oh, and Rogue campaign too.

Plus, some class campaigns, have Twilight Hammer appearing.

IMO, Legion treats cults right: small hidden groups that work to destroy society from within. The Twilight Hammer having huge armies in Cataclysm seemed very far-fetched.

The 7.2 warlock quests had a cult centered around Kanrethad and using his power for the Legion. And they interacted with the Shadow Council in the Scepter of Sargeras quest.

With Gilneas as an example, though, what we got is this: Lordaeron and Stormwind are White Western Europe Kingdoms where everyone speaks US English, then Gilneas was White Western Europe Kingdom where everyone speaks Cockney or the Queen's English. The people don't look different physically, but culturally and audibly appear different. If Kul Tiras was given similar treatment to become Renaissance Western Europe Kingdom, everyone would probably still LOOK white, and mostly would still SOUND white. So at this point, we're just talking about maybe some architectural influences.

TL;DR: Blizzard's not going to take a kingdom that's so far been represented by white people and make it a kingdom of not-white people. At best it'll appropriate some stuff to diversify it a bit from other kingdoms, but that's it.
Unless Kul Tiras is actually colonized Americas instead of Spain.

We didn't see any Black Azerothian Humans until Makasa from Traveler by Greg Weisman. There is such a thing as focus and being like reality unless noted otherwise.

You're missing my point of there not being a major cult akin to the cult of the damned. Most of the vanilla-burning crusade cults we've fought haven't returned for legion. They don't need to be like the Twilight's Hammer, but a lack of presence is odd.

I was thinking (duck and cover!).

Well, they said they'd do small weekly content during the drought. I imagine things like the Magni scenario or small questlines. Seems like we are getting a few story content (with the Aggramar and Eonar cutscenes) before Antorus is released, for instance.

So, after Antorus, what kind of stories they could cover? Obviously, nothing big, but I guess we will see stories that hint at next expansion. Things like:

* Baine meeting the highmountain tauren (may salvage some dialog from scrapped alpha storyline).

* The new troll leader?

* The meeting of the Sons of Lothar?

* Jaina doing something?

* Elven stuff following the events of Suramar.

* Closure to Farondis?

* Keepers meeting in Ulduar?

What do you think we could see?

Damn it, I shouldn't have clicked this link...

We saw plenty of black Azerothians in cities and towns across the game. They were just never the focus of stories. Why is that? Because Blizz was started by a bunch of white guys and they tend to play people close to their actual race unless they dodge racial questions by creating themed races (e.g. Orcs, Trolls). Plus...immigration is a thing.

In terms of cults, for a full-on Demon invasion, whatever pro-Legion cults existed would've been subsumed into their war efforts. No more promises, no more rewards on the horizon, if they stuck around this long, Kil'jaeden and Co. brought them completely into the fold and turned them into demons/used their souls for fuel/whatever.

In terms of content drought: Anything involving cleaning up Azeroth after the last few invasions makes sense. Ditto revealing more about the void, recruiting new races into classes/classes into races, hinting at the next race, hinting at the next continent/planet (because that's a thing now), cleansing the universe of the legion (think rift portals a la D3X), cleaning up old storylines (e.g. Kel'thuzad, Northrend, Qiraji/Nerubians).

Big ones are the loss of artifact weapons (e.g. giving up our roles as class champions and/or leaders) and extending their individual storylines to their adequate conclusions (for now).

$10 says Locus-Walker is a figure in some of the above.

Something I'd love to see is escorting Watchers to old Titan installations now that the news is out. Odyn, Archaedas, and Thorim dealing with the aftermath of Loken's betrayal is definitely a great scenario that's easily implemented. Ditto Freya getting a chance to finally walk around her patron's experiments and really shape the evolution of species in the various craters.

$10 says anything involving Watchers also deals with the creature in Tyr's tomb (see easy Paladin/Priest scenarios and quest hubs above it).

If they have time (they don't), a profession based realm wide event to create an underwater base of operations (against Azshara) would be awesome. Tangentially, the attack by Azshara against the IF/SW tram would be a great event too.

And of course...the Black Dragonflight is always a story that needs to be dragged along.

How about something interesting that doesnt involve the fucking old gods tentacle edge lord fucking crap you guys seem to get a giant fucking boner every damn time, then again blizzard prefers Gameplay over lore. So fuck the lore and lets just go raid some gothic shit that is actually something unique.

Lets be reasonable and actually have expansionsfocused on "small threats" instead of fucking huge dick oneslike void lords and old gods. Let the old gods return to fucking small manipulation and actually be smart instead of "LOL GUYS COCME FUCKING KILL ME KILL ME KILL ME I AM LOOT PINATA # 12398127127389127891279817891892712398098328492938 477892344 for you to kill and loot xDDDDDDDDDD" why cant they fucking do stuff instead of having an intelligence lower than a fucking squirrel or a fucking bear.

They force stuff and refuse subtlety having fucking armies that worship them and yell their names and fucking location its like Nazis Yelling "HITLER IS IN BERLIN NUKE BERLIN LOLZ HITLER IS IN BERLIN HE WILL KILL YOU ALL" fuck this fucking saturday cartoon shit (ok this stuff is worse than children shows)

I've thought of this too. An open world RPG like Skyrim. But I doubt it would ever happen

Is that really what you wanted to give birth to right there? I thought you were struggling with an idea, not a lithopedion's meconium.

Stupid, smart...whatever you think you are, whatever you are, it'd be nice if you were a bit less rageful in your presentation of your opinions. Hard to hear you out when there are so many dicks, fucks, and capitals that you look like a Roman comedian.

Gurzog's freaking out but I do agree with the gist of what he's saying about the Void/OGs. They're not the least bit subtle, never have been, and that ruins the whole cosmic horror thing.

Allan Adham is Egyptian and I'm pretty sure Metzen is Turkish FYI.

A neat little detail I noticed. At the Jed'hin tournament, all the Council of Exarch members from WoD are present as echoes. They're all adults except Naielle, who's still a child.

Between that and Romuul, who still weirdly has the honor of the first character who's AU counterpart was introduced before their MU version was, all the notable WoD draenei except Yrel now have MU counterparts in game.

It's not quite all of the Exarchs. Maladaar's "echo" seems to be absent from Mac'aree.

Tuulani and Nyami are also unaccounted for in the MU (though capturing the latter's AU soul is involved in a DK quest in the MU.)

Ah, I'd forgotten about Maladaar. Given Naielle is a still a child as an echo, maybe Maladaar hand't been born yet?

On Nyami, are we sure its her AU soul that's being captured? Given Hataaru is still dead and Othaar still became Socrethar we can assume her betrayal happened in the MU as well. It's probably AU her, but that does raise some interesting questions about the shadowlands, if the souls of people from alternate timelines would all share the same afterlife.
