Default So apparently Azeroth will never become a Titan

https://www.reddit.com/r/wow/comment..._story/d1asbba

Straight from the horse's mouth. Figured this deserved its own thread rather than getting burried in the Chronicle or Twitter discussion pages.

Dunno what Wrathion means by "rebuild the final titan" now. Also I thought the Titan inside Azeroth was female?

This will be retconned by the end of the expansion.

I think it's figurative and not meant to be taken literally. It's more a way to say "We don't need to wait to Azeroth to wake up. We are Azeroth"

I didn't expect WoW to go that far anyway, since it would kinda be the end of the franchise. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if Blizzard changes its opinion and allows it to wake up, once the Void Lords are replaced by even bigger villains.

I never saw any indication that Azeroth had a sex, but if Kosak is saying male, then I guess that's that. for now...

But honestly, I'm really not surprised, although the whole "every mortal has his spirit" seems pretty tacky/dumb. Since once Azeroth awoke, that would be the end of the franchise since Azeroth, if I read correctly, would destroy the Void Gods or something.

Because they don't know that Azeroth will emerge?

Then does that mean that the VG are no threat since even if they tried to create their Void Titan, it's going to fail?

No, we're eventually going there. This decision seems to imply the true problem is the awakening, well, destroys the planet.

"But a little bit of Azeroth lives in the hearts blah blah blah" Just shut the fuck up, Kosak.

What was the fucking point of stanching the wound? How is the spirit of Azeroth in the hearts and minds of Orcs and Draenei? So it's just as simple at taking up arms to defend the planet?

Just give the shitty dead planet to Sargeras. I am inexplicably angry at this stupid god damned post.

"Rebuild the Final Titan" was an old message/memory that Wrathion received. It could not account for events that happened after like the Sundering/Cataclysm.

What the fuck? So they release this awesome book, stripping away all the old mysteries but giving us lots of new mysteries to speculate on -- enough to last for a couple more expansions, at least -- and Dave comes clomping onto Reddit like an overfed rhino and starts stripping away all those mysteries too?

Did he get started drinking early this afternoon or what?

It's not that I'm pissy about the answer itself so much as the bluntness of it, and how early after Chronicle he decided to drop it.

I threw up in my mouth a little when I read that. How predictably saccharine.

Kosak dropping this bomb is extremely weird, I agree. Are we 100% sure that's really him?

I wonder... He Azeroth is permadead, what killed him?

I'd say the Sundering was the killing blow, considering the WoE was hammered to the core of the planet. And the world-souls inhabit the cores.

But yeah, this is a shitty decition. We were given at last the reason for why was the world our characters live in so important to all the threats in the universe. And now... Azeroth is simply an ordinary planet.

Guess the Legion doesn't know about Azeroth's comatose state.

It's the account that answered questions during the WoW AMA a few years back so it must be:

Kosak didn't say dead, he said it will never wake up. Presumably the soul is still actually in the core, just too muc h has happened and it's too damaged to become a full titan now.
