One of my former troops was talking to me on fb messenger about his deployment. It was going quite well and in-depth about the pros and cons about life in Afghanistan. Then I showed him how to work a VPN to get around certain blocks in the country that I taught to dozens of people when I was overseas. He hasn't replied in like an hour.

There's more to this story. First off, thin wristed people (at least every time I've seen it done) have their hands placed behind their back in a horizontal manner, and one cuff goes around the two wrists, and the other goes on a belt loop or something similar. The chances of a wrist slipping off is highly unlikely because cops DO check that before they lock the yolk via finger check.

1. Police can only hold you for 24 hours without charge. That's normal and consistent (she/he said overnight, which is standard for a drunk tank, and they say they were drunk). This is 100% ok and normal. Sticks to the procedure as I understand it.

2. It falls apart here. They placed a charge on the OP, which would require bail to get out. So they wouldn't have released them unless bail was posted. Common crimes, some departments have a list of set prices so they don't have to hold you. Assaulting an officer? Not so common. That would require a Judge to ok. Which means OP wasn't released the next morning. While it is "technically" possible to charge someone after being released, the arresting officers would then have to explain to a judge why they thought it was ok to release someone being charged for assault (I.E. Dangerous) without bail to the public. Police will also hold you for multiple days on assault, or at least put in for it. Not overnight.

3.This happened at a concert, with people nearby (as OP did say they were embarrassed in public) and no video has surfaced? Either from outside the venue (which almost certainly had cameras) or from cell phones. And the OP, remember, is small enough that their wrist apparently slipped through handcuffs. So, probably, a women. So two large officers manhandled a drunk women at a concert in this political climate with no videos, condemnation, et all?

I'm not saying the incident above didn't "happen". I understand OP is likely shaken from the experience, the post on Tumblr is now gone (which, if legal action is involved, the lawyer would most certainly tell them to take down), so some series of events most likely did occur.

But It's extremely unlikely for them to have occurred as they wrote down. For a multitude of reasons.
