Call me crazy, but for the first time ever, I find myself not interested in any of the features of an expansion.

It's not even disappointment, it's apathy. But there's still the panels, so let's wait and see if I find something to look forward. I have no feelings towards the lands or creatures, and there's no features I was looking forward to.

Oh, there was a disappointment, actually. Sylvanas beating the Lich King? That was disappointing.

Ok, two tidbits now called my attention:

Fully revamped? Does this mean the world is revamped and the quests are new? Or it's just gameplay revamp?

The Cinematic was awful like the last xpc's. It has focused too much on the actual fights, the lines and characterizations were terrible other than the beginning. WotLK's was 10 times better than it.

Will we see Arthas back?

It looks great, but yeah; a bit jarring with Sylvanas' power level.

As for the revamped leveling experience. I doubt it's a full World Revamp, maybe I am wrong? If we did get one, wouldn't it have been shown during the features trailer? I suppose we will find out in What's Next.

So far, Shadowlands looks cool.

Looks like Deicide might finally get to play a high elf.

Did I misheard, or did Ion say this is coming only for the "original" races?

(With my luck, they'll give blue eyes to blood elves and pretend they listened.)

It would be nice to finally be able to play a high elf on the horde(with blue eyes).

The new Shadowlands page says we have a brand new 1-10 experience before you can choose an expansion to level 10-50.

I wonder how this experience it is? Are the racial starting zones updated?

That looked promising, but then... Previews for four generic zones that don't look like "Shadowlands" at all?

I mean, new place, whatever, and it's full of new civilized races and factions? The hell? The Shadowlands should have been empty, full of savage beasts, or full of dead echoes from races of ancient past, not just a bunch of generic new guys which could belong pretty much anywhere in the universe.

I mean, what's the point?

Whatever, I don't know. I was looking forward to a "continent of the dead" kind of thing, yet it's the same thing as Pandaria and Broken Isles again; which don't get me wrong, it made sense there (we could argue Broken Isles weren't what was depicted in the first place, but still), but here? Imagine getting an Emerald Dream or an Elemental Planes expansion and it's just full of the same races from the surface. It's just lame.

That was so long ago Blizzard has probably forgotten it.

But if they bring it up, it can be pretty interesting.

I'm not feeling the Shadowlands at all. Hopefully the deep dive panel tomorrow will clarify some things regarding the level squish, but i anticipate that it will create a whole slew a problems, especially with the hero classes.

ALL races getting a new 1-10 experience seems like an incredibly lazy way to get around updating the starting zones for some of the older races (e.g. Blood Elves and Draenei).

I'm gonna bet that we're gonna get a lot of lore contradictions with this expansion.

So Wildhammer Dwarves and Dark Forest Trolls are gonna be reduced to a mere "skin" option?

Wait, what? No revamp for the old starter zones - they're just going to funnel everyone into one tiny zone?

Better that than none at all, but I would have liked them to have gotten unique racials.

They are finally adressing the outdated lore status of the older expansions via Time Travel? Hm... ok.

And I guess since they make the current "Old Azeroth" redundant in the leveling process, they might wanna use a revamped version for future higher level content after Shadowlands. (Most likely step by step.)

...my poor, poor Scourge.

Why do they insist on continuing to make the Scourge into something they're not.

They were a weapon forged by Kil'jaeden & Tichondrius in order to subjugate the mortal forces of Azeroth in order to make it easier for the Burning Legion to invade Azeroth. They rebelled because of Arthas, Kel'thuzad and Ner'zhul wanting independence and autonomy. This is such a basic concept for a race and they've made it SO complicated.

Now the Scourge are like... tied to some other dimension, and Sylvanas discovered it, and the Helm of Domination that contained Ner'zhul's spirit

What even is this.

I'm SORT of excited about some elements of this expansion. I'm kind of intrigued how they're going to do the new leveling experience... (I hope there's SOME new elements at least in old world Azeroth, so we can get a sense for the current world state).

But boy do I hate where they've taken the Scourge. This wasn't even necessary I don't think.

Yea, her splitting the Helm made no sense that it shattered reality and opened the Shadowlands. The only point was "Always a LK" was to keep the Scourge from just washing over Azeroth. Even if it being a Legion item and had some other purpose, it breaking and doing what it did just....came out of no where.

I'm leaning more towards excited for the xpac, but that tidbit left me going "....wat"

Like I said on Discord, for several reasons I see Shadowlands as Legion 2.0 and I'm very hyped.

I'm also very hyped for the upcoming city of Oribos. It sounds like a really cool concept.
