I haven't even tried it yet, although my first impression is that it won't be as great as everyone's saying. I didn't play Pokemon when I was younger, it never appealed to me. As an adult, I am even more apathetic about it, so I'm not sure how I could really enjoy the system in WoW. All these posts here and comments from friends in game are making me wary though.

Regardless, I'll have to do it eventually for the achievements, because I'm a whore like that.

It's a nice way to pass the time in between queues or just whenever you have in-game downtime. For that reason alone, it's worth looking into.

Yep

Team Terran is Grunty, Mini Thor and a Darkmoon Tonk (Closest thing I had to tank support! Can't be a terran without tanks...)

And all it takes is a tactically calculated "for the Horde" rallying the troops to make them all think "OMG she really does care!"

My Moonkin Hatchling is surprisingly bad.

Because if you truly get no enjoyment out of WoW, then why are you here?

With that said, goodbye.

I'm ashamed to admit I'm enjoying it as well.

I sort of dislike that the pets are shared amongst all toons, which I suppose theres benefits towards just leveling a single 3 pets, but I sort of want each of my characters, whom I've gotten unique pets for, to have their own pets on the go. But it's a pretty silly beef as it only has to do with my laziness of not wanting to swap them out every time I toon hop.

There's addons that edit the pet UI to have things like pet teams.

I'm addicted.

I've been a rabid vanity pet collector since vanilla. I'm currently up to 200'ish unique collected pets.

Team consists of Mecha-gnome from Archaeology, Vampiric Batling from Karazhan and Phoenix Hatchling from MgT.

Minfernals look adorable. I might grab one of those at some point.

The thing about words is that meanings can twist just like a snake, and if you want to find snakes look for them behind words that have changed their meaning.

No one ever said elves are nice.
Elves are bad.

Just got one on my warlock, it's a bitch to get and it kinda sucks imo. It gets killed a lot and quite easily in most battles. Still using it though because of the cool-factor.

My team currently consists of: Voodoo figurine, Kirin tor familiar and Minfernal/Proto drake whelp

Alliance questing.

Arcane blast, moonfire, and a dodge. It's awesome offensively.

I just took a look at their abilities and they are the same. The only difference is their type.

I'm having a blast with Team George (Bananas as Furious George, Core Hound Pup as Georgy Corgi and Lil' Deathwing as Searing George) so far. Elementium Bolt is fun to watch, and Darkness has its uses.

Would recommend Lil' Ragnaros; he's really overpowered. His mine thing is guaranteed to detonate if you do that lava wave (the one that hits everyone), and AI seems guaranteed to swap their stunned pet out the next turn, giving you some more nuking time. Assuming he doesn't get globalled or things miss, he can really do some damage before going down.

Farmed the trainers with him, Shimmering Wyrmling and Lil' XT to 25 quite rapidly.

Keep 'em coming; I need to level 75 pets to level 25 for an achievement, may as well try to make them all Georges.

Get a Beetle pet and name him George? Might be a bit obvious, but hey if you need 75

The only thing I dislike about pet battles is that some of the non-capture pets with unique looks didn't make it into the rare list. Considering that all non-capture pets start at level one, I don't see how making pets that can be crafted/bought rare would hurt the game.

Edit: I managed to catch 3 rare Nether Faerie Dragons (4 if you count the duplicate I had to release). Their stats, at level 11, are:
  • 636hp 122pow 143spd
  • 665hp 134pow 120spd
  • 636hp 150pow 114spd
Any suggestions regarding which of these I should make a member of my team? (They are flying pets instead of dragons which gives them a speed boost, while healthy)

You can only see them if you are, at least, neutral with their faction. I think that's all you have to take into consideration before trying to find them.
