The main character and her mistress have Carstein blood too.

The one that turned the main character, who was turned by her mistress, even betrayed the Lahmians and joined Manfred.

I enjoyed it far more than any other Warhammer book I have read so far. Damned, why must my beloved Templar Holmann die? I was rooting for Ulrika x Holmann! (Of course, I'm somewhat suspicious. His death reeks of a setback.

Edit: Hmm, I'm really liking Bloodforged too. Lahmians and Slaaneshi cultists serving a hermaphrodite queen. I love it.

Any Warhammer book I should read? I'm kinda depressed, now that there are no more books featuring Ulrika to read. (I'm don't want to read the Gotrek and Felix book where she gets turned. Not yet, anyways.)

Have you read the Time of Legends book, Neferata? It was a decent read. Also the Time of Legends book, Dead Winter was a good read, and the second book in that series, Blighted Empire should be out this month.

Edit: oops said Dead Winter a second time rather than Blighted Empire

Yep, I've read it. Haven't read Dead Winter yet, so I'll get that one.

They re-released Dead Winter recently since Blighted Empire is coming out; the paperbacks are now much larger in size. Guess the Black Library wanted a larger paperback format.

I've actually been on a bit of an Elf trip in regards to Warhammer novels. Finally got around to reading Orion: Vaults of Winter which I picked up several months back, and now I'm currently rereading Gilead's Blood since I picked up Gilead's Curse of a few weeks ago.

Liber Chaotica

Same as Liber Necris, but with Daemons instead. Lots of stuff about the Norse too. It's not written by Mannfred.

Makes sense.
Anyways, I bought Valkia for 7,60 with premium shipping, so I'll read that first. (And I suppose that Liber Chaotica will only find it's way to me as a PDF...)
Now, to buy Dead Winter.

Valkia was pretty god. It's a shame that she didn't switch patrons, though. She was just as insane as I'd expect one of her ilk to be.

I wish there was a book about Archaon, and the Storm of Chaos. The Lord of the End Times deserves better!

I heard most of what happened was retconed.

Anyways, Dead Winter was great.

We should also get more Lizzy news this week. I hope we do.

Edi: So Lizardmen seem to only be getting two plastic kits, which hopefully will be dual-kits. Some thing called Bastidon (?) and the Terradons we'd already seen.

Edit2: Oh, it doesn't seem to be that bad, after all. The new Carnosaur doesn't seem to be finecast, like people said.
The name also seems to be Bastiladon.

Blighted Empire, the next in the series should be out now, just ordered it along with the Solomon Kane movie today.

Damn movie finally released here in the US. Closest thing I'll get to a film about a Witch Hunter.

I'm going to order it once German amazon sells it or once I pre-order some Lizzies. Don't want to pay for it's shipping.

Edit: Nice, the Lizardmen look awesome.

Edit 2: Better pics.

Started digging more fluff about Slaanesh and his daemons. Pretty cool chaos god.

He also has the best chariots of all time.
Quote:
Seeker Chariots are not subtle creations. As the straining steeds pull the Seeker Chariot to full speed, swirling shapes sear the air with blinding streaks of the most vibrant and luxurious colours. The metal axles screech in disharmony akin to the wailing of tormented souls, a terrible cacophony that ululates between the chanting of the Daemonettes and the lilting hoots of the Steeds.

Exalted Chariots seek foes where they are most numerous, ploughing into them with hysterical abandon. Though a victim's body may perish in a spectacular fashion, the unfortunate soul endures much longer. The chariot's blades hook deep into the spiritual remains of its victims, drawing them ever deeper into the maelstrom of metal, and anything that falls beneath the chariot's wheels is destined to emerge as a fine red mist.
These chariots not only steal souls but they also tear them apart. That's awesome!

Crossed Swords (War2)

So who's supposed to be next? Dwarfs? Dark Elves?

Plan - Sell this old, unopened Necron Monolith I got some 6 years ago.

Use the money to buy a so called "Kill Team" of Slaaneshi Daemonettes.

Slowly start building a Slaanesh army that can be used in both Fantasy and 40 K.

Found out that while my Tomb Kings are beautiful and have great story, they do not seem to play the way I had imagined.

So I guess I'll have to find a new Fantasy Army. Can't decide between using my Slaaneshi daemons or looking into Vampire Counts. I always did enjoy Lahmians...

Sucks that the current VC army list is mostly Von Carstein with some Strigoi and Blood Dragons.

Nyeugh.

I'll just stick to 40 K for the moment. And pray that Sisters of Battle gets a codex update. <_<

You could play Dark Elves, once they get their new book.

Anyways, why don't you just stick with your decision to play demons?

The Druchii were my army ten years ago or so. <_<

Perhaps I'll look into Skaven...

And I will be sticking to my Daemonettes for now.
