It seems you only adventure there for 2/3 hours. Worth the money?

This happy reply post would be longer, except it's really hard to post while dancing out of joy.

Ah, lucky you. Though money isn't the real issue for me, parents and time are.

Well, it was 15 bucks for the season pass, but if you just want the episode it says $5 bucks. Which makes sense considering that you got another episode coming up and the previous DLC was "Combat in the clouds" DLC, so 3 at $5 bucks each.

I just beat Buried at Sea part one. I did NOT see that ending coming... just like I didn't see Infinite's original ending coming... huh... how 'bout that?

I may have done this a few more times than was healthy during my playthroughs.

It's pretty good, though as you can tell, suffers from a couple AI issues.

The main story's not great either, frankly, and the characters range from pretty-interesting to dull-as-rocks. It's a great stealth game, though, and the world-building is phenomenal.

Game play and setting are probably the biggest things it has going for it, yeah.

Why is the story bad? The premise looks really cool and I love its setting.

Definitely getting for Christmas.

Skids taps Megatron's Autobot badge.

Skids: Right. There. What does that badge even mean to you? How has wearing it forced you to modify your behaviour? I'm serious! How has being an Autobot in any way prevented you from doing exactly what you want? Because if the answer is "it hasn't"—then nothing you've said or done in the last six months counts for anything.

I wouldn't call the story bad. It's just relatively poorly executed. Making Corvo a silent protagonist was a mistake, in my opinion, and the plot twists are pretty easy to pick up on.

It's fun! It's a great game with outstanding worldbuilding, a beautifully grotesque setting and generally just a brilliant IP compounded with immensely satisfying gameplay. You should totally play it. You should totally play it again! It rewards second and third and fourth playthroughs because there are so many different choices you can make and variations you can encounter. It's a treasured gem in my Steam library. There are just a few flaws in the central plot.

Bioshock: Burial at Sea. Did not see that ending coming!

On the other hand, was it just me or were there no hints for the twist in this?

And what exactly was the deal with the little sister you were chasing? Was she an illusion? I mean, the Sally picture was apparently just Anna/Elizabeth, but then who was the little sister you were chasing? And if there was no real little sister, where did the big daddy come from? For that matter, how did that big daddy stab you to death if you killed it?

"How did something that was dead in this universe come back to life when Elizabeth is standing right next to me?"

How do you think it happened?

There were /some/ hints, but it had to rely on like goddam studying Bioshock Infinite and the possibility of a terminal loop in the Comstock-Dewitte thing.

Meaning the Dewitt you play in the original game going to be Comstock, but he will fail, and Elizabeth is both the Angel of Columbia as well as the daughter of Dewitt, stolen by Comstock to eventually bring doom upon all of Mankind.

it gets confusing, and the big-big twist even gets more confusing/interesting when you deal with the ramifications of the first game never happening. As it should, realy. Meaning there is no Dewitt in Columbia, there is no Comstock, there is only Columbia which is not governed and the events of the first game never happened.

But, whole purpose of Elizabeth's plight was to make sure that across the multi-verse that there will be no possibility, what so ever, for a Comstock to exist.

So what were the actual in-game hints regarding the twist? I kind of understand the meta-physics about what was going on (there's bookers and comstocks, divided by the moment of baptizing, Elizabeth travelled back in time to drown all the bookers that were baptized, removing all comstocks from existence, except this one, who was in another dimension so wasn't affected), but a good twist ensures that when you go back, you'll go "aaah, that makes sense.". Both bioshock and infinite had a ton of that in those regards. However, I just don't see any of it in Burial.

You cough at the beginning, mayhaps in relation to being drowned at the end of Infinite.

Annnd this booker being a tad more violent. Just a tad more.

77 seems to be a motif and such, but I'm somewhat grasping for baseballs

All of those seem kind of a big leap for me. Coughing wouldn't make sense, since this Comstock wouldn't have undergone any effects from that. I'm also not seeing the tad more violent. The original infinite was pretty damn brutal, and that was against people just doing their jobs, not raving maniacs.
