I agree, but I won't be able to participate. Europa and all that... While we're talking about tournaments, did you take part in the Global Pet Battle League?

We might be able to get around that if pets copy correctly onto the PTR, I don't know if they do though.

Not this time, I didn't have a team I was happy with. Definitely next time though.

And so it was that I learned to my great dismay that the name "Napoleon" is reserved from use as a battle pet name. Now I need a new name for my gryphon hatchling.

Sorry for the double post, but there is days of difference :3

===
Ok, i need some advice.

Right now, I'm training a team with

- Father Winter's helper (For Call Blizzard, Ice Lance and Ice Tomb)

- Water Waveling (For Ice Lance and Tidal Wave

- And Lil' K.T (For Howling Blast, CoD, and Death and Decay).

The thing is, this group works great (the gnome is a beast in low lvl pvp), but i think it could work better. I was thinking of changing Water Waveling, but his tidal wave is very useful against the tons of clockwork gnomes in pvp. Then i tought of changing lil' K.T, but i have no idea what to put instead (also, lil' K.T eats kunlai runts on the breakfast). Any advice?

So they fixed Farmer Nishi in 5.4. The sunflower actually uses solar beam now. And with the new change to elemental pets, the HoT also heals for more. No more easy 2v3 trainer to powerlevel pets

Still doable though. I just had to swap out Snarly for a frog. Or really any aquatic pet with a weather move.

This is serious.

I hear stories of a top hat accessory for the Perky Pug.

I need to find this.

Both.

One outcome was significantly better than the other <.<

The three initial trainers aren't bad. They're just your typical trainer fight. Completely wing-able, especially since you don't lose health for forfeiting.

The celestials themselves require planning. Otherwise you're just going to get wrecked. The Doom 'n Tomb combo works well.

CoD and Tomb land during the same turn with double damage, and you stun the target for a round, giving you the free double damage nuke. It's a good default strat for any elite, albeit a bit cheesey.

Cool. Time to go get me pets with those moves.

Geyser and Stun Seed are substitutes for Ice Tomb. Really any 3-turn countdown nuke is acceptable (sticky grenade, etc) if you don't feel you need the stun (given that every celestial but yu'la has a heal, you probably do). Just make sure you're using a pet with high power for it.

I also got this from the forums a few days back. It's a decent enough starting guide:

Code:
Sully // This is a regular team for Dos-Ryga, No-No, Skitterer Xi'a, also works here.
[Crow] [Alpha Strike] [Call Darkness][Nocturnal Strike]
[Gilnean Raven] [Alpha Strike] [Call Darkness][Nocturnal Strike]
[Dark Whelpling] [Tail Sweep] [Call Darkness] [Lift-Off]

Dr. Ion // A team with random dragon, magic pet & mech
[Nexus Whelpling] [Tail Sweep] [Mana Surge] [Arcane Storm]
[Ethereal Soul-Trader] [Beam] [Soul Ward] [Soulrush] // any magical pet
[Pocket Reaver] [Metal Fist] [Quake] [Supercharge]

Lorewalker Cho // It's a random team too (Undead FTW)
[Blighted Squirrel] [Woodchipper] [Crouch] [Stampede]
[Infected Fawn] [Diseased Bite] [Consume Corpse] [Death and Decay]
[Infested Bear Cub] [Diseased Bite] [Bash] [Maul]

Zao // healing is annoying, but mechanical pets is what you need here OR any of Xu-Fu, Yu'la, Chi-Chi teams will work too
[Clockwork Gnome] [Metal Fist] [Repair] [Build Turret]
[Anodized Robo Cub] [Demolish] [Repair] [Supercharge]
[De-Weaponized Mechanical Companion] [Metal Fist] [Extra Plating] [Demolish]

Xu-Fu // curse + geyser + whirlpool + stampede = win
[Landro's Lichling] [Curse of Doom]
[Pandaren Water Spirit] [Geyser] [Whirlpool]
[Direhorn Runt] [Stampede] [Trihorn Charge]

Yu'la // curse + ice tomb + howl + counterstrike
[Unborn Val'kyr] [Curse of Doom]
[Frigid Frostling] [Ice Tomb]
[Lil' Bad Wolf] [Howl] [Counterstrike]

Chi-Chi // curse + ice tomb + howl + surge of power
[Unborn Val'kyr] [Curse of Doom]
[Azure Whelpling] [Ice Tomb]
[Chrominius] [Howl] [Surge of Power]

These teams are not optimal, but who cares if they can win.

Good luck.

P.S.

Lil' Oondasta
[Darkmoon Zeppelin] [Missile] [Decoy] [Explode]
[Cogblade Raptor] [Batter] [Screech] [Exposed Wounds]
[Darkmoon Tonk] [Missile] [Shock and Awe] [Ion Cannon]
The trainers there are highly subjective - I didn't use any of those pets. If nothing else having a Chrominius, Azure Whelpling, Bad Wolf, and Valkyr/Claw/Lil' KT (CoD) is a good place to start. I also found an Anubisath Idol to be very useful against Zao (demolish, stoneskin, deflection).

Meh. High-level pet battling requires too much thought.

The tournament is basically the end-game for PvE pet battles.

Well, I have only fought against two of the participants. Taran and Chen, and Taran's monk with the blind was annoying. I still like the difficulty, though.

Of course, I have no idea of how hard the four baby celestials will be.

Yeah, I get that. I just have no interest in taking it to that level I guess.
