I have a friend trying to talk me into giving it a look. I won't buy it, but he's offered to let me use his account. I'm wondering if it's even worth the 25GB download over my shitty 1.5mb internet connection at home...

You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake.

It's not that special. It's combat is much better than GW2's action combat but it's questing and writing is as bland as you can get. It also at least has a persistent world without instancing but railroads you pretty heavily through valleys. The games instances, combat, and PvP are its main strength.

Figure I'd bump and bring this back up now that it's F2P, and I just tried it today.

I LOVE IT. The action combat is definitely a breath of fresh air in an MMO.

I started out with a Popori (bear looking race) Berserker, and could not move from my chair till I finished the starter island. It was amazing, I loved how it feels that I'm not just queuing up an ability and watching a static animation, but actually having to react to the enemy moving around me, and having to to react to that before I just spam my attacks.

While waiting for my friend to catch up, I played a couple levels of a Castanic (Demon looking race) Sorcerer. What I loved about this caster, is that you dont just click your target and spam your spells away, again, you have a reticule, and you actually have to aim your spells. Blast away with fireballs, then right before it gets in your face, lay down fire carpet, jump back, dodge around.

I hear the dungeons are a blast too. I'm pretty sure between this, GW2, and TOR, I wont be coming back to WoW.

Isn't terra the game with the pedo-bait?

They're all f2p right? Idk what you look for in a MMO so I can't tell you what to play. If you have the money and space for all 3 just play that IMO.

Yea, there's one race where I can see that...but surprisingly, I dont see too many of that race running around, even on a RP server.

And that is what I was saying, I'll be playing those games, since I already bought GW2 shortly after launch, and the other two are F2P.

I rock gamepad it works really well with it. I really enjoy this game. the cash shop is perfect they sell what they need to keep the game going. Since the art is so good they make good profits on their sales,
